Stock Market Update My Way

I wonder if I knew enough about the bulls and bears and all things shares when I was giving this stock market update on one my other shows on the Radio.

Yeah, I'm still stuck on the radio and kind of love this byte. It's natural, it's me once again in that studio, although the view from that window was different at this time.

It was an evening drive time programme and outside people would be heading back home, some subzi walas (vegetable vendors) returning with an almost empty thela, youngsters resting on bikes sipping tea at ketlis, a few cows here and there and the sky changing colours from shades of blue with tints of yellow and orange to the the darkness of the night :)

Me on the radio

Back in the another life of mine, when I was an RJ on Radio Mirchi, I used to host a love show called Love Bytes from 9 to 11 at night. This is the show where I grew as an RJ and connected with my audience.

I think there were many reasons, one being that I love everything about love and so talking about it and listening to songs that were oozing of it was just so perfect.

The second was the solitude at that hour. The studios used to be void of the hustle bustle of the morning. It was just me there doing my show in the dimmed studio lights with a beautiful view of the outside. It was as if I was in my room conversing with a friend, talking to them. You know what I mean, I'm sure you're able to visualise it :)

I was cleaning my room the other day when I stumbled upon one of the recordings of this show. Not sure if this was a good day for me then or a good show but this is all I have from my those days. In fact listening to it now, almost 5-6 years later I feel I could've done so much better. But that's now and this was so many years back - me just fresh off college and just getting into the real world.

Looking back, I am so glad to have had this opportunity and one that I hope to tap into in the future. But for now I leave you with a byte as I sign off from one hour and go into the next. I hope you enjoy it.
