In love with Istanbul

I haven't felt this way before but I have often heard people say I felt like I belonged there after visiting some place. I did feel just this way in Istanbul, the city we chose to celebrate three years of our marital bliss.

There are many things about the city that have left a deep impression in my heart:

* It's history

* It's vibrant culture - such a brilliant mix of two continents

* It's people - so full of life, so closely knit, so proud of their land, language

* The small little cafes just about everywhere

* The chill in the air and the music of the rains

* The way the city celebrates love

* Turkish tea

* Baked potatoes

* Traditional hammam

* The grand bazaar

* The small flower shops around every nook and corner

I could go on and on but I'll let some of these pictures from my trip do the talking now..

My trip was very very short so didn't have the luxury to visit Ankara but it is on the cards for hopefully some time in life.. :)
