Real Parties in Dubai: Rocking Airline Themed Birthday Party

When it comes to hosting parties, there are those who simply throw one and then there are those who put in so much thought and creativity that it makes attending their soirees a really fun affair. Our friends Rocky and Nandini Bhatia fall into the latter category. Recently, we attended Nandini’s Airline themed birthday celebration and I just had to share this amazing theme and its super execution with you.

Cricket Branding Brightens Colombo

Or at least their airport :) I was mighty impressed with the Colombo International Airport and the cricket branding in and around the building. Sri Lanka will be one of the hosts of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 that begins on the 19 of this month.

What a joy it would be, to watch a World Cup match live, and cheer your team to victory! That said, I wonder how the Indian cities are looking – hope similar or way way better :P

Homeware Stores at Airports Please

Staying with New Delhi and its airport, I also liked the concept of a homeware store at an airport, one that I haven't seen at the 20 plus airports I have been to.

The one here was called Good Earth and it retailed a lot of awesome things reflecting India and its style.

Below are some of their products that I really liked and am looking forward to visiting one of their bigger stores to get access to a wider variety to choose from.

Of New Indian Airports

That Indians ooze of creativity is no surprise to anyone in the world, it's just that until recently this fact reflected nowhere at its most important entry ports - the airports.

I don't need to go into details about how aged airports at major metropolitan cities were or rather still are but am very pleased to see things changing, at least at New Delhi and Mumbai airports. They are looking so much more international yet so Indian in their look, feel and energy. There's a lot still to be done but for what has been accomplished, it needs a special mention and applaud.

I loved loved this one wall at the capital's domestic airport recently - so proud of its history and equally proud of the present.
